The Ripple Effect of a Fake Bank on a Village

In the village of Chhapora, Chhattisgarh, a fraudulent branch of the State Bank of India was established, leading to significant deception among local job seekers and residents alike.

One notable victim, 25-year-old Pintu Dhurve, fell prey to this scheme, investing a staggering Rs 5.80 lakh in hopes of securing a cashier position, only to discover that he had been scammed. Several warning signs, such as the absence of identification cards, lack of any training programs, and the overall inactivity within the branch, began to raise alarms among the villagers.

In response to the growing concerns, law enforcement officials conducted a raid on the bogus bank, launching an investigation to locate the primary suspect known as “Pankaj sir” along with his associates.
