The crime branch of the Mumbai Police has revealed that a suspect linked to the murder of Baba Siddiqui managed to elude authorities by using a mobile hotspot belonging to a laborer for his communications.

This significant detail was brought to light by the news agency ANI. In a joint operation, the police forces from Maharashtra and Punjab successfully apprehended Akashdeep Gill, who is recognized as a primary logistical coordinator for the Bishnoi gang implicated in the assassination plot, in Fazilka, Punjab, on November 16. Gill, who has ties to the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was later handed over to the Mumbai Police, where he is currently being detained alongside another individual, Sandeep Vohra, who faces charges of financing the murder.

During the course of the investigation, Gill revealed that he had been using the hotspot of a laborer named Balwinder to keep a low profile and avoid being tracked.

Furthermore, his attorney, Shaikah Faizan, mentioned that a person known as Pappu Singh was reportedly involved in facilitating communication between Gill and Vohra.

The crime branch is now actively pursuing Gill’s mobile phone, as it is believed to hold vital evidence pertinent to the Baba Siddiqui murder case and his affiliations with gangster Anmol Bishnoi.
