An investigation is underway at The London Clinic regarding a data breach involving attempts by hospital employees to access the medical records of the Princess of Wales, which is considered a criminal act.
Specialists have proposed the use of “decoy” files containing false information to safeguard the genuine medical records of high-profile individuals such as the Princess of Wales.
Contrary to initial reports, the Metropolitan Police has not been involved in the case, and The London Clinic has not provided any updates on the progress of the investigation.
The Princess of Wales, who disclosed a cancer diagnosis in March after undergoing abdominal surgery in January and has not been seen in public since Christmas Day 2023, is currently receiving treatment and may attend the upcoming Trooping the Colour event pending medical approval.
