Google Pay is set to undergo significant enhancements, featuring the launch of AI-driven support aimed at improving credit access and the introduction of UPI Circle, which facilitates shared UPI profiles for users.
UPI Circle Comes For Indian Users

Google is rolling out an exciting new feature for its Google Pay users in India, known as UPI Circle, which is developed in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
This innovative functionality allows users to share their main UPI account with others, including friends, family members, or even employees, thereby facilitating digital transactions for those who may not have their own bank accounts.
This is particularly beneficial as it broadens access to digital payments, ensuring that transactions remain secure while encouraging a shift towards cashless transactions.
The UPI Circle feature operates through two distinct modes: Full Delegation and Partial Delegation.
With Full Delegation, the primary account holder can establish a spending limit of up to ₹15,000, enabling secondary users to conduct transactions without needing prior approval, although individual payments are restricted to a maximum of ₹5,000.
Conversely, Partial Delegation allows the primary user to maintain oversight of all transactions, requiring verification before any payment made by a secondary user is processed.
This dual approach not only enhances user control but also fosters a more inclusive digital payment ecosystem in India.
Additionally, businesses in India will benefit from innovative AI-powered tools designed to enhance customer engagement and bolster their online presence.
Furthermore, the language support for Gemini Live and AI Overviews is expanding, now including a variety of Indian languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, and Kannada, among others, to cater to a more diverse audience.
