Pensioners in Hyderabad are currently grappling with significant difficulties due to the malfunctioning of the T App Folio, an essential tool for submitting their annual life verification certificates.

Since early November, this app has been out of service, creating a major inconvenience for retirees who rely on it to submit their certificates from home without the hassle of fingerprint verification. The Telangana All Pensioners and Retired Persons Association (TAPRPA) has expressed frustration over the situation, noting that despite promises from officials to rectify the problem by November 15, the app remains inoperative.

This ongoing issue has led to heightened anxiety among pensioners, as illustrated by A Sai Krishna, who shared his father’s distress over the inability to complete the necessary submission.

Although there are alternative options available, such as visiting Mee Seva centers or banks, many pensioners prefer the T App Folio for its ease of use and convenience. A retiree, emphasized the app’s value in eliminating the need for physical trips to various locations, which can be particularly taxing for older individuals. TAPRPA’s general secretary, Palakurthy Krishna Murthy, has reported a surge in complaints from pensioners regarding this matter.

The association is actively engaging with the directorate of treasuries and accounts, which has assured them that the app will be restored soon. Furthermore, TAPRPA is advocating for the timely release of pending Dearness Allowance (DA), Pay Revision Commission (PRC) benefits, and arrears, urging the government to address these pressing issues without delay.
